Qualifications
-
5-10 years in civil litigation with trial experience with a proven track record of successful outcomes in civil litigation cases.

Strong litigation and trial skills, including experience conducting depositions, examining witnesses, and arguing motions in court.

Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience with demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to mentoring and developing junior attorneys.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.

Active license in good standing to practice law in Ohio

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, to solve problems, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Job Description
We are a boutique civil litigation firm with offices in Dayton and Columbus seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney. This position will collaborate with other attorneys in both the Columbus and Dayton offices. In this role, you will serve as lead counsel on complex civil litigation cases, manage a diverse caseload, and provide mentorship and guidance to newly admitted and younger attorneys within the firm.
Responsibilities

Act as lead counsel on a variety of civil litigation cases in both state and federal court.

Manage all aspects of the litigation process, from case inception through trial and appeal.

Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and prepare for hearings, depositions, and trials.

Strategize and develop case theories, objectives, and litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Provide mentorship, supervision, and guidance to newly admitted and younger attorneys within the firm, including reviewing and revising their work product while providing constructive feedback.

Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals and partners to create plans to assist in the professional development and training of junior attorneys, including sharing knowledge and best practices in trial advocacy, legal research, and case management.

Provide prompt and effective communication related to strategy, staffing, billing and objectives with clients.
